Iwan WALTERS (Greenvale) (14:33): (1813) My question is to our Deputy Premier in her capacity as Minister for Education. Bethal Primary School is an outstanding community school in Meadow Heights, with staff deeply committed to students and families. Led by principal Dave Warren, this commitment is reflected in Bethal’s remarkable NAPLAN results over the past three years, launching itself from the bottom 10 per cent among comparable schools to the top 10 per cent last year. I popped into Bethal last week to see the works well underway on the $10.5 million comprehensive upgrade that I secured for the school community when I was elected. These works are so important to ensure that students at this fantastic school have the learning facilities that they deserve. Deputy Premier, when will Bethal students and staff be able to enjoy the benefits of this major investment in their school?
