Iwan WALTERS (Greenvale) (09:41): I would like to take this opportunity to thank the volunteers who organised Run4Ben on Sunday morning. I was really pleased to join hundreds in my electorate for a 10-kilometre fun run around Woodlands Historic Park in memory of Ben, a young man who collapsed tragically at football training in Greenvale last year and subsequently passed away but who before doing so was able to pass on the gift of life to many other people through organ donation. I thank his family and the volunteers who organised Run4Ben on the weekend, on a beautiful Sunday morning at Woodlands, raising money for the Royal Children’s Hospital and awareness of the importance of organ donation and its capacity to give life to others.
